Happy 200th Birthday
to Greensboro The
Bicentennial Celebration is about to begin and we are honored to have several
Westerwood residents participating in the Torch Relay. Please
come out and support the Torch Relay, encompassing Greensboro neighborhoods, that
kicks off the period of the Bicentennial Celebration with an opening ceremony
to follow. The
relay will take place in the evenings beginning Tuesday, March 25th through Friday,
March 28th. Games, activities and an opening ceremony will take place on Friday
evening at the end of the torch relay at NewBridge Bank Park. Relay begins at
4 PM and ends at 7 PM each day. This event is free and open to the public.
Tuesday, March 25th: Starts at War Memorial Stadium and ends at Fisher Park.

Starts at Guilford College and ends at the Tanger Family Bicentennial Gardens.

Stream Clean

Twice a year, the Westerwood Neighborhood participates
in a "Stream Clean" event as part of the city's "Adopt-A-Stream",
"Great American Clean-Up" and Earth Day programs. Keeping the stream
clean is an important part of keeping our neighborhood beautiful for all of us
to enjoy!
Details to follow a week or so before the event, but please mark
your calendars now to participate, and plan to meet us at the Lake Daniel Park
picnic tables by the playground on Saturday morning, April 5 at 9:00 AM.
